Annapurna Expedition

Annapurna Expedition is the wonderful adventure in the land of Himalayas that takes us to the summit of Annapurna Mountain. Annapurna Mountain Range stretches over 55 km of an area. The highest point of Annapurna Mountain Range is Annapurna I which is 8091m high. Annapurna is the tenth highest mountain in the world that expands from east of gorge cutting Himalayas by Kali Gandaki River. Kali Gandaki separates Annapurna from Dhaulagiri. Annnapurna I Mountain was climbed for the first time by a French Expedition that was led by Maurice Herzog. In 1970, Annapurna Mountain was climbed for the second time. This team used South Face as Annapurna Expedition climbing route.
Annapurna is the Sanskrit term which means full of food.
Annapurna Mountain lies in Annapurna Conservation Area which stretches for 7,629sq km. Makalu Extreme provides logistic services for Annapurna Expedition. Advanced Base Camp of Annapurna exists at the North Annapurna Glacier.
Popular Annapurna Climbing route is from West face and Northwest Ridge. Annapurna Climbing although is difficult but it is equally a rewarding experience. There will be 3Camps before reaching summit.  Late Spring and Autumn are best season for Annapurna Expedition.
